Dining Room We are very proud of our dining room. From the ornate original plaster ceiling, some 3.8 metres high to the polished kauri floor, the plush velvet window furnishings in deep rich red. The superb hand made crystal chandelier suspended above the 12 place oval dining table with matching china cabinet and sideboard, was imported from South America by the hosts especially for this room. The room, some 24 ft by 16 ft. has a graceful three light bow window mirrored by a kauri and cast iron open fire with crackling flames to welcome you to breakfast. Rose Room - Guest Lounge This room is available at all times for guests. Located off the mezzanine floor, this beautiful sunny room opens out onto a large balcony rimmed with fine Victorian wrought iron work. It offers extensive views of the city, harbour and the Otago Peninsula. The balcony has a teak table and chairs and a steamer chair to take a relaxing break in the morning sun. Back inside a Victorian salon suite and other antique furniture decorate the room. Sky TV, Internet access, Fax / Copier, Tea and Coffee making facilities, Telephone, books, magazines, stereo, CD player and a selection of CD's are available. Gold Room A lovely, generous (5 metre by 5 metre) room accessed from the first floor mezzanine. The room has a fabulous, old french, inlaid bedroom suite comprising a Queen sized bed, 2 side cabinets topped in white marble, a escritoire bureau also with one piece marble top and a fine inlaid mahogany armoire lined with linen. A three light bow window provides wonderful views to the northwest and furnishings and bedding are of the highest quality. 2 bedroom chairs and hand knotted Iranian rugs on the floor all combine to create a romantic, soft and sunny room. Internal access to a private ensuite bathroom equipped with a tiled shower, plus basin and toilet complete with heating and complementary toiletries and hair dryer. The bathroom has complimentary toiletries and hair dryer. The apartment is decorated in contemporary style providing guests with a "home away from home" atmosphere.
