Both Ian and Glenda are decendants of Otago's original settlers and have lived in the region all their lives. Ian has a sheep farming background and owns a sheep station to the south of Dunedin. Glenda and Ian also have business interests in property, forestry and the wine industry in Central Otago where they produce fine Pinot Noir wine. Both have travelled extensively and take a lively interest in travel experiences. Ian's other interest is motor rallying, having competed in New Zealand National and International rallies over the last 30 years. With Glenda as co-driver, they still compete in classic events every year.
